LGBTQIA+ fiction with happy endings

A wishing-for-spring snippet!

Hola and Happy Caturday!

When I went searching for a pic for today’s pinned post on Rainbow Snippets, this one made me think of the highway outside Ezra’s place in Speedbump. The trees are missing, but otherwise it could be the same one I’ve been taking creative license with since the mid-1990s. 🙂

Today’s snippet is from Speedbump and has zero spoilers–which isn’t easy, because I want to put the whole story in front of you now, not in February! Red, my washed-up musician, is the “I” here.

The next morning, I stepped out the front door of the Long residence and looked up. The day was surprisingly quiet, especially since it was already one in the afternoon. As I watched the puffy white clouds scudding across a perfect blue sky, I realized I wasn’t exactly sure what day it was.

Doesn’t matter.

A new song played in my head, and I needed to get it out before it fled.

Ha, ha. Poetry even in my thoughts.

Thanks for reading!

Have a lovely weekend!

Sorry, I keep trying to like this post, but the ‘like’ button dislikes my phone. (rueful grin) Beautiful description mingled with character development…an excellent introduction!

I wonder what his new song is about.

I could do with some puffy clouds and blue sky right about now, LOL.

Got to get it down before it turns into an ear worm.

Love the touch of humor. (And I SOOO know the feeling of needing to get it down. I keep asking Santa for a voice activated recorder but I think I’m going to have to get my own.)

Heh, so true about needing to get stuff written down before it goes. Never leave the house without a notebook and pen!
